Spines is equilibristic post-punk. The band has developed a repertoire of extremely intense songs where the pace and energy of the songs, almost seem more machine than human. There is little room for respite in Spines’ music. Rather, it comes across as a dystopian frontal assault on the body and mind with piercing guitars, a thundering rhythm section and catchy melodies.
